2023 Hyundai Palisade First Look, Changes, Upgrades, Release Date, and Price

0

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade is a very affordable alternative if you’re looking for a luxury SUV. This modern family SUV offers everything that you can even imagine on the lower trims. Anyway, the Calligraphy trim is the top-ranging that is even more equipped including Nappa leather upholstery, a digital gauge cluster, and many more premium features.

For 2023YM, we can expect a mid-cycle refresh and the same engines that came out in 2021. The Palisade has one engine available, and it’s a 3.8-liter V6 producing 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The engine is potent as you can see and is linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

2023 Hyundai Palisade Exterior

The exterior of the 2023 Hyundai Palisade is very attractive. Like before, this SUV wears the same grille flanked by a light signature similar to the one we saw on the Hyundai Santa Fe. Consider the Palisade is mechanically identical as the Telluride, it shares the same platform.

However, in our opinion, the Palisade looks much nicer. Of course, depending on the trim level, the design of this SUV will change a bit. The SEL trim, for example, adds upgraded wheels and satin chrome door handles, while the Limited has body-colored wheel arches. The most favorite Calligraphy trim has its own unique styling thanks to an exclusive grille, door finishers, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Interior Layout and Equipment

The highlight of the 2023 Hyundai Palisade is its interior. This SUV offers 3-rows of seats and accommodation for seven passengers. Like the other models in this class, the Palisade have tight third-row seating for adults but are ideal for kids. Besides, it has a pretty good amount of cargo space. Cargo volume is 86 cubic feet behind the front seats, while the second row and the third row folded, stowage totals 46 cubic feet. The inside of this SUV is modern and attractive, and materials can get upscale in the higher trims. You can get Nappa leather in the Limited model, while Calligraphy trim brings quilted leather throughout the cabin.

As standard, the Palisade comes with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth connectivity. However, you can get a more responsive and intuitive 10.3-inch display standard with the Limited and Calligraphy trims.

2023 Hyundai Palisade Engine Specs

Like the outgoing model, the new 2023 Hyundai Palisade has one engine available under the hood. The new SUV uses a 3.8-liter V6 producing 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. It is also worth mentioning that the engine is linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Like most SUVs in this segment, the Palisade comes with front-wheel drive as standard, while is all-wheel drive is optional. The current model with the same engine is rated at up to 19 city/26 highway mpg, so the new one will probably keep the same figures or even a little better. Anyway, thanks to this engine, the Palisade has a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds.

2023 Hyundai Palisade Price, Release Date

We expect the 2023 Hyundai Palisade to remain in the same pricing range as the outgoing model. It means that the price will start at about $34,000 for the base trim, while a fully loaded Palisade Calligraphy with all-wheel drive could be around $50,000.

Compared to other models in class, the pricing of the Palisade is similar to the Chevrolet Traverse, Toyota Highlander, and Mazda CX-9. However, the Volkswagen Atlas, as well as the Kia Telluride are much more affordable. Hyundai recently stated that we can expect the refreshed model later this year.
