The fresh new 2022 Lincoln Nautilus is finally happening. This elegant SUV was completely redesigned last year and is now nearly in line with the rest of the company’s lineup. It gains a new dashboard that incorporates a larger 13.2-inch infotainment display, running the latest version of Ford’s Sync 4 operating system.

Besides regular model, the manufacturer also offers fancier Black Label models that can now be ordered with two new interior themes Chalet and Flight. However, for 2022, the only noticeable exterior styling change is a tweaked lower front bumper. Overall, the new Lincoln Nautilus is mostly a carryover model. It deploys the same two engines as its predecessor, and both of them comes with start/stop system.

2022 Lincoln Nautilus Exterior Changes

The new 2022 Lincoln Nautilus is a midsize luxury SUV that slots between the larger Aviator and smaller Corsair in Lincoln’s lineup. It looks premium, and it competes with other SUVs in the same class, like the Lexus RX and Cadillac XT5. The Nautilus remains handsome on the outside, and it should receive some mild upgrades compared to the outgoing model.

First of all, the front fascia looks more attractive, featuring the large grille and full-width chrome trim. Thanks to that, it gives the vehicle a wider and more planted appearance. Also, some tweaks are evident on lower front bumper, but nothing significant. On the side, everything remains, and Nautilus deploys the same stylish 20-inch wheels. However, jumping to the Black Label version, buyers will get a larger 21-inch wheels.

Interior Appearance

The cabin of the new 2022 Lincoln Nautilus features more nicely materials than its predecessor. On top of that, it remains roomy, modern, with the same layers of luxury. Buyers likely wouldn’t guess that the Nautilus shares the same platform with the Ford Edge. Interestingly, both vehicles are similarly spacious. However, Nautilus comes standard with a 12.3-inch digital gauge display and a large 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen.

Like the newest Ford models, the Nautilus uses the latest Sync 4 infotainment software easy to use. It also offers more standard features, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, 11-speaker audio system, 4G LTE–powered o, and onboard Wi-Fi hotspot. Unfortunately, navigation and a wireless smartphone-charging pad are standard on Reserve, and Black Label trims.

2022 Lincoln Nautilus Engine Specs

Like the outgoing version, the new one will continue to use the same two powertrains. The base 2022 Lincoln Nautilus deploy the 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder good for 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The next one is optional, and it is a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 that makes 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque.

Both engines are sharing the same 8-speed automatic transmission and are rated to tow up to 3,500 pounds. On the other hand, the base Nautilus comes with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) model, while an All-wheel drive (AWD) is optional with the 4-cylinder engine. Moreover, V6 comes standard with AWD. It’s interesting to mention that both models come with a start/stop system that cuts power at idle to save fuel.
