The high-luxury 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre coupe has been finally unveiled. As far as we know, the Phantom sedan and Cullinan SUV share the same platform as the Spectre. However, the new model, on the other hand, is completely electric, and it uses two electric motors to produce a total of 577 horsepower.
The Spectre’s expected range of travel is just around 260 miles per charge, which excludes it from the long-range EV competitors like the Tesla Model Y and the Lucid Motors Air. But people who have about $400,000 to buy a Spectre aren’t likely to take a road trip when their private plane is always ready at an airport nearby. The Spectre is the first in a line of electric vehicles from Rolls-Royce, and the firm claims that by 2030, all of its gasoline-powered models will be replaced with EVs.
2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre Exterior Design
The new 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre uses the company’s latest architecture. The platform is an all-aluminum and designed to support both internal combustion engines and totally electric drivetrains. Although the Spectre is the first Rolls-Royce vehicle to use any kind of electricity, it currently serves as the foundation for all current models (Ghost, Phantom, and Cullinan).
Although the iconic Rolls-Royce grille with Art Deco influences dominates the front fascia. Also, the light clusters are very different, with a horizontal LED daytime running light bar that is perfectly straight and headlamps that are a little bit set back.
On the inside, the 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre offers bucket seats in both rows. Thanks to that, it has accommodation for four people. Even though there are some parts of the design that are unique to Spectre, anyone who is familiar with Rolls-Royce’s interior design will find that this one is just as luxurious.
For instance, the Spectre’s door panels have a similar glimmer, with small LED lights glittering in the region around the armrests, in addition to the brand’s iconic starry-night headlining. The Spectre should have a huge number of ways to customize it and different materials to choose from, but we don’t yet know all the details or have a list of features and options.
Dual-Electric Powertrain Details
The 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre model will have a dual-motor electric powertrain that is capable of producing 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. According to Rolls-Royce, this coupe can run from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds. You may laugh at that estimate and point to the Tesla Model S Ply, which touched 60 mph in 2.1 seconds, but we would be quick to remind you that the Rolls-Royce is more about cruising than mind-bending acceleration.
Range, Battery Capacity, and Charging Time
Although Rolls-Royce has not disclosed the dimensions of the Spectre’s battery, the company estimates that a single charge would allow for a range of about 260 miles. Even though DC fast-charging should be standard, we expect that most people who buy a Spectre will have a charging system put in at their homes.
2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre Price and Release Date
The 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre is a brand-new model, and the first customers could get their cars as early as the end of 2023. Regarding the Spectre, Rolls-Royce hasn’t yet provided information about its pricing.
Anyway, we expect to see options and features that are typical of Rolls-Royce, such as a number of highly customized packages. According to other publications, the price will be approximately $400,000.
