The new 2024 Ram 2500 will reportedly receive many upgrades and changes. So, if you’re seeking a truck that has a class-leading towing capacity, many available tech features, and a premium interior, look no further. Also, the off-road-ready Power Wagon will be once again available, featuring a much cleverer off-road suspension system.
Just like before, you can have the Ram HD with either a gas-powered 6.4-liter Hemi V8 or a Cummins 6.7-liter turbo-diesel inline-6. The standard V8 offers great power to satisfy most drivers, but the Cummins is a worthwhile upgrade if you need a truck for towing. If this is not enough for you, the 3500 model has a special high-output version that produces 420 horsepower and an outstanding 1,075 lb-ft of torque.
2024 Ram 2500 Exterior Changes
As for the exterior, Ram will provide some refreshments, mostly at the front and rear. Even so, the appearance of the 2024 Ram 2500 remains muscular, featuring a colossal grille and sharp edges. Size-wise, the Ram 2500 is right in line with the Ford F-250. However, the Ram is the only one that offers the massive Mega Cab.
By choosing the Limited model, you’ll get its own special grille, while the Limited Longhorn comes with unique 2-tone paint options. Anyway, if you’re looking for a more rugged appearance, then the Power Wagon is the best choice. This model offers an off-road appearance package similar to the Ram 1500 Rebel.
In-Truck Technology
Inside, this model so far has been one of the most tech-rich trucks in its class. There is no discussion, the new 2024 Ram 2500 will be even more filled with technology and premium materials. The interior should remain spacious and functional. As before, the new truck will be available in three cab options, including a Regular Cab with no back seats, a Crew Cab with roomy back seats, and a massive Mega Cab with 43 inches of rear legroom.
However, the interior of the Ram 2500 can change drastically depending on the trim level. The base Tradesman model comes with vinyl seats (upgradable to cloth), and with basics like air conditioning, power windows, and power door locks. From what we heard, the standard infotainment system will be 8 inches, with Bluetooth connectivity and a backup camera. However, if you choose the Limited trim, you’ll get an even larger 12-inch infotainment screen.
2024 Ram 2500 Engine Specs
As we said at the beginning, the new 2024 Ram 2500 is a strong and big truck that needs powerful engines. As before, we’re expecting it to come with the same gas-powered 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and a Cummins 6.7-liter turbo-diesel inline. The base V8 is capable of producing 410 horses and 429 lb-ft of torque.
Anyway, as an option, you can get a more fuel-friendly 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel inline-6 that makes 370 horses and 850 lb-ft of torque. However, we should expect Ram to do some remapping on both engines, which should translate to even more power.
How Much Is the New 2024 Ram 2500?
The 2024 Ram 2500 will start at $39,160 for the RWD 2500 Regular Cab Tradesman model. Anyway, prices will climb when you upgrade to the popular 2500 Crew Cab model, which starts at $42,780.
There is also a 2500 Mega Cab that’s more than $52,000. Overall, the pricing of the Ram 2500 is in line with rivals like the Ford Super Duty and Chevrolet Silverado HD. Expect all models to debut next year in October.
