Although still among the best pickups in the class, the current generation of RAM’s light-duty model has been around for a while, so it’s no wonder that many sources suggest a mid-cycle update for the next year. It looks like the 2024 RAM 1500 is about to come with interesting updates, even though the officials are still quiet, we believe that the changes will be comprehensive, including not just new styling details, but also updates in aspects like interior, powertrain etc.

With the updates, this pickup would become even better than the current model, which already offers a lot of amazing things, starting from unparalleled ride quality, capable powertrain options, a luxurious interior, a spacious cabin and many more.

Considering the possible update, we won’t be surprised if we see the 2024 RAM 1500 arriving a little bit earlier than usual, though we definitely don’t expect to see it before the second half of the year.

2024 RAM 1500 Design

Although the officials are still quiet, many believe that the 2024 RAM 1500 is about to receive a mid-cycle refresh. We presume that the focus would be on styling updates, where the next year’s model would feature a couple of interesting aesthetical changes. This primarily refers to the front end, which would use a couple of new details. We estimate revisions in areas like headlights, grille, bumper etc.

On the other hand, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle shouldn’t change. We expect to see the same setup, which has a lot to offer. That’s mostly because of the refined chassis and suspension setup, which offers class-leading ride quality, whether the bed is fully-loaded or completely empty.

Of course, the next year’s model will continue with strong off-road performance, especially the Rebel version, which comes with lots of upgrades. Some of the highlights are things like an off-road suspension, multiple tow hooks and skid plates, a locking rear differential and a unique axle ratio.

Interior

The interior has always been one of the RAM’s key strong points and there’s no doubt that the next year’s model will continue in the same way. The 2024 RAM 1500 may receive interior updates or not, but it will remain the most luxurious pickup in the class, with a cabin that features high-quality materials, a stylish dashboard, good build quality and lots of standard and available equipment. Of course, it will be available with a massive 12-inch infotainment screen, which is still relevant, despite that rivals like F-150 and Silverado 1500 are now available with even bigger units.

The next year’s model will continue with two familiar cab styles on offer, Quad Cab and Crew Cab. The Quad Cab is a kind of extended cab model and it comes with a decently-sized 6-foot-4-inch bed. On the other hand, the Crew Cab model offers way more passenger space, it is available with either a 5-foot-7-inch or a 6-foot-4-inch bed.

Features

Of course, novelties in this aspect are always possible, so we could see some additional features, as well as some shuffling among trim levels and equipment groups. For reference, the base 2023 model comes with a pretty modest level of equipment, which includes a 5-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, a six-speaker stereo and USB ports. Of course, higher trim levels offer all kinds of upgrades, such as an 8.4-inch or 12-inch touch screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster display, satellite radio, a 10-speaker premium stereo or a 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, two rear USB ports, navigation, HD Radio, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, remote start, dual-zone automatic climate control, two household-style power outlets and a single-pane or dual-pane sunroof.

2024 RAM 1500 Engines

We expect that the 2024 RAM 1500 will continue with the same engines on offer, though we won’t be surprised if we see some of them with power upgrades. Base versions will continue with a 3.6-liter V6 that comes with an eTorque mild-hybrid system and puts out around 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. Of course, there is also a good-old 5.7-liter HEMI V8, with a max output of 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.

The diesel version will continue in the same way, with a familiar 3.0-liter V6 that puts out around 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Finally, there is the TRX version, equipped with the monstrous 6.2-liter Supercharged V8, which puts out around 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.

All engines come coupled with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

2024 RAM 1500 Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2024 RAM 1500 will hit the market sometime in the second half of the year, with a starting price of around 39.000 dollars.
