The first sketch of the 2024 Honda Prologue has been leaked, and the upcoming SUV features a very attractive and clean design. Judging by the new photos released by Honda, the company’s upcoming SUV will provide great fun thanks to its ruggedness.
As far as we know, the new Prologue will be developed in partnership with GM, which will incorporate its powertrains and battery packs to the new model. So, we can expect the Prologue to also share the same Ultium battery platform, which underpins models such as the Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer EV. Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming SUV.
2024 Honda Prologue Design
Thanks to the latest sketch released by Honda, we have a closer look at what the Prologue will look like. First and foremost, the upcoming SUV will share the same Ultium battery platform with the upcoming models Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer EV. At this point, details are hazy, but from a design sketch, the Prologue promises to be very handsome and sporty.
It features sporty large wheels, short front and rear overhangs, and attractive headlights. In terms of size, the Prologue should be similar to the gasoline-powered CR-V, and the Mazda CX-5 models.
Interior Features
The new 2024 Honda Prologue, sharing the same platform with Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer EV, will likely borrow some design cues as well. First of all, the cabin of Prologue will be modern yet roomy, and we expect it to come with two rows of seats. This means it will be a bit smaller than a 3-row midsize SUV like the Honda Pilot.
On the technology side, the manufacturer hasn’t revealed any information so far. Anyway, we know that Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance tech features will be standard. The package of safety includes automatic emergency braking with forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, road departure mitigation with lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.
2024 Honda Prologue Motor Specs, Battery Capacity, Range
The 2024 Honda Prologue is an electric SUV that will share the same mechanics with some of GMC models. In case you missed it, the Prologue will use a General Motors platform, so we presume that it will use the same Ultium battery packs, just like the Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer EV.
If this proves to be accurate, the Prologue could come with a 100-kWh battery, delivering around 300 miles per charge.
2024 Honda Prologue Price, Release Date
Honda hasn’t released any information about the pricing or trim levels of the 2024 Prologue model yet. However, the new SUV could start at around $45,000 and go up depending on trim levels. Honda’s traditional trims include LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring, so we expect the same trims to be part of the new Prologue.
The EX is an upper trim that should be around $48,000, while we expect the EX-L to start at $51,000. The most expensive Tour model costs $55,000. We expect more information about the new model closer to its debut, which could happen sometime next year.
