2024 GMC Acadia

The next-generation 2024 GMC Acadia has been once again caught in testing completely camouflaged. Despite the heavy camo covers, we can clearly see boxy styling and the same design language as we saw on the GMC Yukon SUV. Nevertheless, the new Acadia will ride on the highly flexible GM VSS-F platform, which underpins models such as the Buick Encore and Chevy Trailblazer.

Some changes will also be visible under the hood. As far as we know, the upcoming Acadia will use a 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, mated to the GM 9-speed automatic transmission. There is a possibility that the manufacturer will also add a more-economical turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine.

2024 GMC Acadia Facelift

Compared to the outgoing version, the new 2024 GMC Acadia will not be drastically different. It certainly has a presence, and it will ride on the highly flexible GM VSS-F platform. The same platform also underpins models such as the Buick Encore GX and Chevy Trailblazer.

Anyway, depending on the trim level, the exterior appearance of the Acadia will vary. Long story short, the Denali model is the most expensive one, featuring the most ornate grille, while the SLE and SLT trims have 18-inch alloy wheels. On the other hand, the off-road AT4 has 17-inch alloys and all-terrain tires.

More Stylish Interior

On the inside, the 2024 GMC Acadia will definitely dominate with a very stylish look. As before, this SUV comes with three rows of seats as standard, offering enough room for eight passengers with ease. As usual, the second row can be folded, providing around 79 cubic feet of space. The seats are very comfortable thanks to high-quality leather with contrast stitching.

Among the standard wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Wi-Fi, satellite radio, five USB ports, and Bluetooth, the manufacturer offers a great package of driver assistance systems. There is forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assistance, front/rear parking sensors, following distance indicator, automatic high beams, and a very useful teen driver feature.

2024 GMC Acadia Engine Specs

From what we’ve been told, the 2024 GMC Acadia will be powered by a few engine options. The base model will probably use a 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. This engine will send power to the front axle as standard. Of course, you can still get all four wheels as an option.

It’s also possible that GMC introduces a new and more-economical turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine as well. We also expect to see a turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, while hybrid or PHEV variants are not excluded.
