The rumors about the new 2024 Dodge Viper are not settling down at all. Not many details have surfaced yet, but we’re glad that the new Viper is happening. From the latest information, the new Viper could make a comeback sometime next year. In case you missed it, the fifth-gen Viper’s production ended in 2017, and since then, we’ve heard a couple of rumors about its comeback.

The Viper will be reportedly downsizing, and we’re guessing that it will be powered by a naturally aspirated V-8 producing 550 horsepower. By the way, a supercharged variant is also expected with 700 hp. A manual transmission is a must because it will make it stand out against the increasingly automatic-only competition.

2024 Dodge Viper Design

The exterior design of the 2024 Dodge Viper will be updated, and we expect the new sporty car to ride on a new platform. So far, this model uses a spaceframe with independent suspensions front and rear. It also has a long hood, from which this car is mostly recognized.

Dodge will reportedly offer a convertible version from the beginning, just like the GTS, and ACR models. Aluminum and carbon fiber will be used for its body, which should keep its mass as low as possible.

Redesigned Interior

From what we’ve been told, the new 2024 Dodge Viper will come with a fully redesigned interior. First of all, you can expect this sports car to introduce more supportive seats, as well as better materials. The technology will also be new, including a larger infotainment screen and plenty of standard equipment.

Generally speaking, we expect to see the latest Dodge’s Uconnect infotainment system, voice command recognition, Bluetooth, satellite radio, HD Radio, a USB-C port, navigation, and a mighty Harman Kardon audio system. Also, safety will be improved as well, and you can count on a very long list of features.

2024 Dodge Viper Engine Rumors

At this stage, we don’t have any clue about the engine that will power the new-generation 2024 Dodge Viper. Reportedly, it will be downsized compared to the engine before to meet state regulations. In general, we’re guessing that it will be powered by a naturally aspirated V-8 that will be capable of producing 550 horsepower.

Along with this engine, we’re also expecting to see at least one supercharged variant that should produce at least 700 hp. Also, a manual transmission is a must, which should stand it out against the increasingly automatic-only competition.

Is Dodge Bringing Back the Viper?

It seems, yes. While many details remain scarce at the time of writing, we expect the new 2024 Dodge Viper to cost significantly more than before. The current model starts at $90,000, while the new one could start at $100,000. As you can see, this is a difference of 10k, which is a significant increase.

We also expect the plusher Viper GTS to jump over $115,000 and the track-oriented Viper ACR to start over $125,000. If many rumors prove to be accurate, the new sports car will arrive sometime next year, probably in the second half of the year.
