Recently, Dodge announced that the current generation of Challenger will finish its journey by 2024 and that they are already working on a successor. At this point, there are no official details about the new model, but one of the things we are pretty sure about is the all-electric future of the iconic nameplate. The 2024 Dodge Challenger will follow the same path as the Charger, offering the legendary body style in a modern, EV package.

We presume that the new Challenger would share a lot of parts with the all-electric Charger. This doesn’t refer to the drivetrain only, but also to things like the chassis setup. On the other hand, the 2024 Dodge Challenger would come with its own, unique styling, as well as a unique interior design. We presume that the drivetrain configurations will be the same as in the bigger sibling.

The all-electric Challenger should arrive sometime in 2024.

2024 Dodge Challenger Design

As we’ve just mentioned, the company hasn’t shared too many details about the next-generation Challenger yet. Practically, the only thing we know is that it is going to be all-electric and that once again, most parts will be shared with the Charger. The Charger was recently presented in the concept form, with the Daytona moniker and it has shown some pretty interesting solutions, especially when it comes to the driving experience. So, we presume that the 2024 Dodge Challenger would go in the same way.

On the other hand, details about aesthetics are still unknown. We presume that the design language would be different than the Charger Daytona, with a lot of styling details that resemble the current and old Challenger. We expect to see a combination of retro and futuristic design elements, which should make this 2-door coupe super-appealing once again.

Interior

This aspect of the 2024 Dodge Challenger is still a complete mystery. Still, we are pretty sure that the company won’t stick with the modern design approach, which is mostly about clean lines and minimalistic dashboard design. Instead, we expect to see a bit of a retro approach, in a combination with modern tech features, just like in the case of the Challenger Daytona.

When it comes to cabin space and seating configuration, we don’t expect to see bigger differences compared to the outgoing model. We count on a two-door coupe, with a classic 2+2 seating configuration. The current generation is pretty generous with space, so we don’t expect any less than that from the 2024 Dodge Challenger.

2024 Dodge Challenger Drivetrain and Performance

So far, this is the most interesting aspect of the 2024 Dodge Challenger. Although there are still no words from the officials, we are pretty sure that the powertrain offer would be the same as in the new Charger. Therefore, we expect to see at least three setups, starting from the base 340 models, which would feature a max output of 455 horsepower. The mid-range 440 models will get a significant power increase and count to 590 ponies. Finally, we expect to see the SRT version, which will feature even more horsepower. The exact number is still unknown but we presume it will be, at least, on par with the Hellcat.

While details about the battery are still unknown, we know that the 2024 Dodge Challenger will bring some pretty interesting design solutions to maximize the driving experience. One of them would be the installed speaker that produces a sound that isn’t exactly the emulation of internal-combustion engines, but rather something more unique. Another very interesting thing about the all-electric Challenger will be the transmission with multiple gears, something that we haven’t seen in an EV so far.
