Pre-orders for the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq are now being accepted. Due to the fact that the all-electric Lyriq SUV was introduced for the first time last year, we anticipate that the new 2024 model will be a carryover. In addition to the base model, the Cadillac Lyriq will have two more trims. As far as we know, they will be called the Lyriq Sport and the Lyriq Premium Luxury.
The general look of the next luxury crossover from Cadillac should be quite similar to that of the model that is already on the market. The exterior of the electric car looks attractive, featuring a clean look and an eye-catching Black Crystal Shield grille. It is also easy to spot because it has thin LED headlights with vertically arranged trademark lights, and thin LED taillights that look like the shape of the headlights.
2024 Cadillac Lyriq Changes
The new 2024 Cadillac Lyriq is the SUV that has the best overall appearance. As a result of recently taken photos, we now know that the newest model has a specific style that is exclusive to the trim. In comparison to the Cadillac Lyriq in its base trim level, the Sport trim has a new grille design that is more slender and a distinctive lighting pattern. Because of the broad center divider bar, the front fascia gives the impression of being both wider and lower.
In addition, the regular silver window surrounds have been replaced with black ones, and bigger wheels have been added as well. Additionally, the back has some eccentric features, like LED taillights that nearly touch the roof and continue into the C-pillar. A distinguishing feature of Cadillac vehicles are the vertical reflectors on the bumper that look like headlights. The first four colors for the outside of this model will be Satin Steel Metallic, Stellar Black Metallic, Opulent Blue Metallic, and Crystal White Tricoat.
Technologically Advanced Interior
The cabin of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq is designed to be technologically advanced. Even the base model has a big curved screen of 33 inches in size, which gives the dashboard an elegant appearance. The design as a whole is neat, and there are notably very few knobs and buttons present.
It is worth mentioning that this SUV is the first one that’s equipped with a 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system that features AM/FM as well as satellite radio as standard equipment. The electric vehicle has five comfortable seats that are upholstered in leatherette. The seats for the driver and front passenger can be adjusted in eight different ways and heated. Also, the back bench seat can be divided in half lengthwise. We anticipate that the newest trim levels will have the same core characteristics.
The Cadillac Smart System, which incorporates safety technologies including Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Safety Alert Seat, Rear Park Assist, and HD Rear Vision Camera, will be included as standard equipment with the Lyriq. If you’re ready to spend some more cash, you may purchase certain optional safety and driving aid options.
Rear Cross-Traffic Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, HD Surround Vision, Emergency Braking, Blind Zone Steering Assist, Front Pedestrian Braking with Bicyclist Detection, and Reverse Automatic Braking with Side Bicyclist Alert are all available as options.
Ultium Battery Provides 312 Miles of Range
Both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations are available to choose from with the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq. The EPA estimates that a full charge will allow the RWD model to travel a distance of 312 miles. The engine will reportedly generate 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque.
When plugged in for an hour, Level 2 home charging on the Lyriq will extend the range by 52 miles. This only applies to rear-wheel-drive vehicles if you are hooked up to a 19.2 kW public or residential charger. After an hour of charging with the 11.5 kW charger, you’ll be able to go up to 37 miles. A 7.7 kW dual-level adds 19 miles of range to AWD Lyriq vehicles and 21 miles to RWD. The charging cable will be included with the Lyriq as standard equipment.
The Cadillac EV also supports up to 190 kW of DC rapid charging. RWD and AWD Lyriq’s will gain 76 miles of range after just 10 minutes at a DC fast-charging station.
Price and Release Date
When the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq comes, we expect its numbers to be about the same as those of its predecessor. Unfortunately, exact prices for the new model have not yet been determined. We expect the base model to be around $62,990, while the AWD variant should start at $64,990.
