If you didn’t know, this model has a great reputation in the world thanks to its safety and impressive list of standard driver assistance tech features. In general, it’s not big as its sibling Volvo XC90, but it’s still good for small families. The XC60 also offers a lot of cargo space and one of the most comfortable cabins in class.

2023 Volvo XC60 Redesign

The forthcoming 2023 Volvo XC60 will get a modest facelift. As far as we can tell, the front and rear fascia will be more handsome than before, and the manufacturer will update a grille design, wheels, keeping the same traditional look. The appearance will definitively change a bit depending on the trim level.

We expect the all-electric variant to come with more attractive headlights and with a closed grille. However, the most favorite R-Design trim offers a sportier look with tasteful black trim. As for the size, this SUV is dimensionally the same as the BMW X3, Audi Q5, and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.

Interior Updates

The interior styling of the newest 2023 Volvo XC60 is modern and rich with high quality materials. Generally speaking, expect cabin to be quiet, comfortable and to provide adult-sized accommodations on the back seats. Clean lines and high-quality materials reveal Scandinavian design, and we’d expect nothing less from Volvo.

The highlight inside is definitively an updated 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display that is paired with Volvo’s latest Google-based software interface. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard, as is Bluetooth connectivity and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot.

2023 Volvo XC60 Engine Options

As its predecessor, the 2023 Volvo XC60 will continue to be powered by two mild-hybrid engines or a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The entry-level model uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged 48V mild-hybrid inline-4 producing 247 horsepower. However, the next one adds “E-charger,” delivering 295 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft of torque. The Recharge is the last one model that comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain capable of traveling up to 18 miles on a full charge. This one engine is the most efficient with a combined 57 MPGe rating from the EPA.

Also, unlike the units above, this one is more powerful, making 400 horsepower or 415 horsepower in the more performance-oriented Polestar model. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, while all-wheel drive is available with Recharge models. We can also count on a completely new electric version in the coming years.

The new 2023 Volvo XC60 from the latest information will start at $42,650 for the base Momentum trim. However, upper trims like R-Design cost $48,800, and the plug-in hybrid Recharge at $54,250. The most expensive model is still the high-performance Polestar that begins at $69,500.
