2023 Volkswagen Tiguan

The new 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan is set to hit showrooms next year with an updated design. This SUV is one of the most attractive in the class and is hugely competitive. For 2023MY, the manufacturer will introduce some changes inside and out, and it will add more standard features across the lineup.

However, one thing that hasn’t changed this time is its engine. Like the current model, the new one will use the same turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder powertrain that generates 184 horsepower and 221 lb.-ft of torque. Thanks to all above, the Volkswagen Tiguan is in line with models such as the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Ford Escape.

2023 Volkswagen Tiguan Redesign

There are a few visual changes on the new 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan compared to its predecessor. First of all, the upcoming SUV remains dimensionally the same, but it now wears a refreshed front bumper, broader radiator grille, and more attractive LED lights on the front and rear.

Thanks to that, the Tiguan looks fresher and more refined than before. Alloy wheel designs give this SUV sportier look, and, according to VW, the sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches in diameter. The SE R-Line Black is the most popular variant because it offers blacked 19-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and a headliner.

What’s New Inside?

Like the outgoing model, the new 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan will come with a very modern cabin. As you probably may know, Volkswagen interiors are among favorites in class, thanks to their top-quality design and materials. Inside the new Tiguan, you’ll find simulated leather seating surfaces, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, wireless charging, and an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen.

The SEL R-Line is a much better choice but more expensive. This model comes standard with a 10-inch digital driver display, leather upholstery, heated/ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera system, and with features like road sign recognition, automatic high beams, and a self-parking system. As for the cargo space, it goes from 12 to 65.3 cubic feet with front-wheel drive and three seating rows. However, if you add Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel drive, those numbers become 37.7 and 73.5 cubic feet.
