2023 Subaru Outback front

The new 2023 Subaru Outback will go on sale next year, featuring some upgrades. This model offers rugged styling, standard all-wheel drive, and a fantastic interior. Like the outgoing version, the new model will continue to be visually more a station wagon rather than an SUV.

For 2023, we don’t expect seismic changes to the Outback lineup, but some usual modifications will happen. Despite exterior and interior changes, the Outback lineup will continue to use the same flat-four-cylinder engines. As standard, the Outback is powered by a 2.5-liter engine producing 183 horses, while 260-hp turbocharged 2.4-liter can be got only optionally.

The Subaru Outback is still fresh from a complete redesign that happened last year. So, we don’t expect seismic changes in 2023. From information that we got, some small usual modifications will be visible on the front fascia, including revised grille, hood and headlights.

However, the highlight is definitively the all-new Wildnerness trim. This model will look more attractive than the regular model, and it will sit on a raised suspension. The manufacturer also fitted it with chunkier Yokohama all-terrain tires, and the Wildnerness model also has a roof rack capable of supporting 700 pounds.

Interior Upgrades

Like the outgoing model, the 2023 Subaru Outback will share much of its interior with the Legacy model. In general, both models have comfortable accommodations and plenty of quality materials. On top of that, the manufacturer filled this SUV with many amenities, even the base model. Every Outback has dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and copious USB ports.

Moreover, you can still get upscale features optionally such as a 11.6-inch vertically oriented touchscreen, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and power-adjustable front-passenger seat. As for the safety and driver assistance features, the Outback as standard offers forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring.
