The redesigned 2023 Ram 1500 is on the way, and we can expect it to receive some mild changes over the current generation. Reportedly, one of the most attractive trucks in the midsize segments will arrive next year. This pickup is indeed a king in class, featuring plenty of advanced technology and more premium materials than any of its rivals.
On top of that, the Ram 1500 ios powered by potent engines, while many suggest some new ones for 2023. From what we heard, the next model could be powered by either a V6 or V8 gasoline powertrain paired with the new 48-volt hybrid system.
2023 Ram 1500 Exterior
The fourth generation of Ram 1500 will look no less attractive than the previous generation. This truck seems really tough, and we like every line on it. The standard variant comes with an eye-catchy front end that empose a massive grille and attractive headlights.
Keeping with other models in the class, the manufacturer also offers Tradesman trim, which is very popular. This model comes with 17-inch steel wheels, and it features some extra chrome pieces. Also it has a body-colored grille and bumpers. Warlock adds many black exterior elements, like the black grille, side mirrors, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Overall, no matter which model you choose, you will definitively get a truck that will stand up.
More Premium Cabin
The highlight of the new 2023 Ram 1500 is its interior. This model is one of the most equipment in the class. It features many premium touches and some advanced technology. Also, comfort is guaranteed, and Ram added very supportive seats. The Regular Cab offers three seats across a bench seat, while the Quad Cab takes six occupants. The rear legroom remains 34.7 inches on the regular cab, while Crew Cab offers 40.3 inches of rear legroom, which is much more than the most midsize sedans.
Compared to other rivals, the new Ram 1500 offers more equipment than any of them. It offers a standard 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen, air conditioning, vinyl floors and seats, cruise control, and a manual tilt/telescoping steering wheel.
2023 Ram 1500 New Powertrains
The upcoming 2023 Ram 1500 will reportedly come with some of the new engines. The closest candidates are either V6 or V8 gasoline powertrains. Both units should produce a tremendous amount of output, and as standard, it will use an eight-speed automatic transmission. Interestingly, both engines might use a new 48-volt hybrid system from many gossips, delivering excellent fuel efficiency.
The current Ram 1500 is powered by a 3.6 liter naturally aspirated V6 engine capable of delivering 305 hp at 269 lb-ft of torque. Besides this engine, there is also an optionally 5.2 liters V8 producing 395 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. In general, the most potent engine is under the TRX model. This one consist of a 6.2-liter V8 with 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
When Can You Order the 2023 Ram?
The forthcoming 2023 Ram 1500 will look almost the same as its predecessor. As a carryover model, we only expect a few visual changes. That means the exterior design will be minimally tweaked, while the interior should get more standard equipment.
The most exciting information is that there will be some changes under the hood. However, Ram hasn’t revealed the exact debut date, but from the information that we got, it will come sometime in the fall of 2022. Pricing across trim levels will probably grow but nothing significant. The current standard variant starts at $29,000, while the Crew Cab model is around $60,000. Just for comparison, the Ford F-150 is priced in the $30k region, while Chevy Silverado at its most basic is $28k.
