The 2023 Porsche Macan will arrive next year, featuring more attractive design than ever. From the latest information, the upcoming model will be built on the new electric platform, and it will deliver more range than the Taycan model. Alongside the electric variant, the manufacturer will also introduce a new gasoline-powered version.
However, according to Porsche, electric and gas-powered models will be differentiated by design, like the Taycan and Panamera. If you didn’t know, the Macan is Porsche’s best-selling model that’s available in trims, base, S, Turbo, and GTS models. Unfortunately, Porsche hasn’t revealed what the electric model will be called or when the gas-powered model will be out.
2023 Porsche Macan Changes
The upcoming 2023 Porsche Macan is an SUV that has the spirit of a sports car. For 2023, the Porsche Macan has gotten a facelift, and the EV variant looks almost identical to the Taycan model, especially the front end. It features a new grille and attractive LED headlights. The electric Macan will be reportedly built on VW Group’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture that will also find a way to upcoming Audi and Porsche products.
Visual differences between the two Macans are evident, and EV prototypes headlights are slimmer, and it doesn’t have a traditional grille like the gas-powered model. Other than that, everything is similar, including size and shape, to the current crossover.
The interior of the 2023 Porsche Macan is quite comfortable and modern. Porsche added more technology throughout all trim levels and much more supportive seats. Moreover, the back seats of the Macan are a little tight for adults, but it’s comfortable for kids. The cargo space is also below average, but if you’re looking for a lot of room, check out models like the BMW X3 or the bigger Porsche Cayenne.
On the technology side, the new Porsche Macan will offer the standard 10.9-inch infotainment system, which is user-friendly. Also, we expect as well Apple CarPlay, navigation, 3-zone automatic climate control, power front seats, and four USB-C ports.
2023 Porsche Macan Engine Specs
The 2023 Porsche Macan will use the new VW Group’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE) electric architecture. This platform will be also available on all future Audi and Porsche products. However, the gas-powered model will use Macan’s existing platform.
Most likely that the EV model will borrow Taycan’s 800-volt architecture, which allows fast charging. Also, customers can expect a few different battery packs and at least a range of 300 miles. Alongside the electric variant, the manufacturer will also introduce a new gas-powered engine. At this point, Porsche didn’t reveal any figures of this engine.
