Based on rumors, the Lincoln Nautilus will be discontinued after the 2023 model year in North America. As far as we know, the manufacturer will try once again to refresh this SUV, which should be related to the upcoming Navigator model. In general, we expect the new 2023 Lincoln Nautilus to share many cues with its bigger brother and the same platform as well.
However, it would be even better if the manufacturer decided to add some new engines, perhaps a hybrid of the PHEV version. We must mention that the current model is available with two different potent engines including a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder and twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 powertrain.
2023 Lincoln Nautilus Redesign
If you’re looking for an attractive SUV, then the 2023 Lincoln Nautilus is a great deal. This model is eye-catchy thanks to a huge grille, stylish headlights and the unique body lines. Arguably, it’s more compact than the Navigator model and is easier to park.
For 2023, the manufacturer adds some cool alloy wheel designs, and you can count on a vast number of optional sizes. As before, the new one will be available to choose in five colors including Artisan Blue, Red Carpet, Chroma Elite Copper, Bronze Smoke Metallic, and Gilded Green Metallic. However, Chroma Caviar is still only reserved for the Black Label trim.
Modern Interior
Inside, the 2023 Lincoln Nautilus will keep the same modern cabin as its predecessor. However, unlike the Navigator model that offers seats for seven occupants, the Nautilus offers five seats. All seats are comfortable, and the new Nautilus comes with 22-way power-adjustable front seats with a massaging function. According to Lincoln, rear legroom is 39.6 inches, which is about an inch and a half more than the Lexus RX. You will also get 37.2 cubic feet of luggage space that can increase to 68.8 cubic feet with seats down, which is again more than the Lexus RX offers.
On the technology side, the forthcoming SUV includes a standard 12.3-inch driver’s digital instrument cluster and the 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen. The range-topping Black Label will offer more quality materials and a choice of interior themes.
2023 Lincoln Nautilus Engine Specs
At this moment, the manufacturer didn’t reveal what engine will power the new 2023 Lincoln Nautilus. Many believe that Lincoln will introduce some of the new engines alongside the old one. The current entry-level model is using a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine generating 250 horsepower. This engine comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission sending power to the front wheels in standard form. Anyway, you can still get an optional all-wheel-drive system.
Alternatively, you can still get a more powerful twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 that makes 355 horsepower. Like the base engine, this one is also deploying the same 8-speed automatic transmission. However, unlike the base engine, the optional one comes with all-wheel drive as standard.
2023 Lincoln Nautilus Release Date, Price
As we said at the beginning, the Lincoln Nautilus will be the last production model. Besides attractive and eye-catching design, the forthcoming model will also offer a comfortable and spacious cabin with many safety features.
The new model will also continue to be the most affordable premium midsize SUV/crossovers that cost around 43,000. We expect it to debut later this year, while sales should start at the beginning of 2023.
