The 2023 Jeep Cherokee is one of the most attractive models in the Jeep lineup. This compact SUV is known for its excellent off-road capabilities, great standard safety features, potent turbo engine, and much more. However, there are tons of compact crossover SUVs on the market, but only a few of them can match the comfort that this model offers.

The interior is reasonably comfortable, and you can count this time on more premium materials and technologies. As on the performance side, this SUV is still powered by the same three engine options. There’s a base inline-4, a more powerful turbocharged inline-4, and a V6 to go for.

2023 Jeep Cherokee Facelift

Like its bigger brother Grand Cherokee, the 2023 Jeep Cherokee features the same attractive design. The design of this SUV is rugged and premium. Unlike the iconic Wrangler that comes with a boxy look, the forthcoming Cherokee has more modern styling.

As on most of the Jeep models, the look of this SUV can change a bit depending on the trim. For example, if you go for the X and Trailhawk trims, you will get a great package for off-roading, while choosing the Limited trim you can count on more premium look. The size of the Jeep Cherokee is average, but it’s still bigger than the Compass model. Compared to the other rivals, the dimensions are very similar to the Subaru Forester, Chevrolet Equinox, and Honda CR-V.

Cabin Features

The interior of the upcoming 2023 Jeep Cherokee is pretty good, and it won’t change too much from its predecessor. If you didn’t know, this compact SUV offers a very spacious cabin that has enough room for five passengers in two rows. There’s plenty of room in the front seats, while in the back-seat, space is about average. Cargo space is only 25.8 cubic feet, which is pretty disappointing.

However, if you want something roomier, you can go for the bigger Grand Cherokee or more spacious the Honda CR-V. Anyway, the Cherokee has plenty of standard techs including a user-friendly 8.4-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety is also great thanks to the blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

2023 Jeep Cherokee Powertrain Specs

As we mentioned, the new 2023 Jeep Cherokee uses the same three engine options. The base Altitude model comes with a 2.4-liter inline-4, producing 180 horsepower with 171 lb.-ft of torque. A more powerful 3.2-liter V6 comes as an option, and it develops 271 horsepower with 239 lb.-ft of torque.

The last one is the most potent engine, thanks to a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that delivers 270 horsepower. Every Jeep Cherokee comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission, using front-wheel drive as standard or all-wheel drive as optional. It’s worth mentioning that all-wheel drive comes standard on the X, Limited, and Trailhawk trims.

How Much Does the 2023 Jeep Cherokee Cost?

Like before, the pricing of the 2023 Jeep Cherokee should start at $28,000 for the Altitude trim. However, a more equipped X model costs $32,600, while the Latitude Lux begins at $33,000. The most rugged Trailhawk is around $37,000, and the most luxurious Limited trim is $37,945.

As you may notice, the Jeep Cherokee is a little more expensive than its competitors like the Chevrolet Equinox, Honda CR-V, and Subaru Forester. We expect this SUV to go on sale in the second half of this year.
