The new 2023 Jaguar F-Type is officially confirmed, and we can expect its debut to happen next year. As far as we know, Jaguar will make some drastic changes to the upcoming model in terms of design. From what we heard, the forthcoming sports sedan will be available in two models, a new P450 model and the R model. Both ones should look more aggressive, and we also expect a convertible variant as well.
Perhaps the most exciting novelties are dropping the four and six-cylinder engines and replacing them with a new supercharged V8 capable of delivering 444-hp. The manufacturer also offers an F-Type R model with a more potent engine and 575 horses.
2023 Jaguar F-Type Design
The new 2023 Jaguar F-Type will be proportioned larger than before because the manufacturer will scratch the existing platform. In general, this will affect a much roomier cabin. As for the exterior, we expected the new model to receive a mild revamp. Jag will probably make the design more attractive with tweaked LED headlights, and we should expect more stylish 20-inch alloy wheels.
Anyway, the current F-Type offers a few wheel designs, with red or black brake calipers. An adaptive suspension comes standard, bringing the ability to move between road-trip comfort and track-worthy precision. Moreover, F-Type R will also be available, and it should get some visual tweaks and extensive standard equipment for both coupe and convertible models.
Inside, the previous model has been criticized for having a small cabin. However, the new 2023 Jaguar F-Type will definitively offer more room, thanks to the stcrached platform. After all, this car is sporty and is not family-friendly at all. The coupe’s luggage area should measure 14.4 cubic feet from the information we got, which is enough for a couple of sets of golf clubs or bags for two. Naturally, choosing the convertible model trunk, you’ll get only 7.3 cubic feet.
On the technology side, the Jaguar F-Type comes with a leather/simulated suede upholstery, single-zone automatic climate control, 6-way power-adjustable seats, 12.3-inch configurable digital driver information display, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. We expect navigation, Wi-Fi, satellite radio, USB port, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration to come also as standard. The F-Type R model is available as well, and it includes 12-way power-adjustable seats with memory settings, a power-adjustable steering column with memory, and self-dimming mirrors.
2023 Jaguar F-Type Offers More Power Under the Hood
Jaguar is dropping the aging four and six-cylinder engines in favor of a V-8-only. As we mentioned, the upcoming sports car will now consist of two models, a new P450 and the R model. The F-Type P450 should continue to be available in coupe or convertible with either rear or all-wheel drive. Interestingly, this time, the manufacturer added a new supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 that produces 444 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque. Jaguar claims that this model will reach 60 mph in 4.4 seconds with a 177-mph top speed.
The F-Type R is a more powerful engine. It also uses a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8, but it delivers 575-hp. Unlike the P450 model, this one comes standard with an all-wheel drive. Jaguar also stated that and R model can reach 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
What is Price of Jaguar F-Type?
