The 2023 Honda Odyssey spy shots have just came up, and it seems that the next generation minivan will receive some upgrades. From the latest news, the forthcoming model will ride on Honda’s Global Truck platform, which is currently used for the new Acura MDX, Honda Pilot, and Honda Ridgeline models.

As we can see from the first spy photos, the caught prototype looks cleaner than before. The front fascia seems refreshed with the new grille and on the back we noticed a new taillights. Unfortunately spied prototype is heavily camouflaged, and we don’t know what is exactly beneath. Here’s everything that we know so far.

2023 Honda Odyssey Redesign

Finally, the new 2023 Honda Odyssey is coming and the spy photos are available. First of all, the next-generation model will receive some changes and upgrades, but we don’t expect it to differ from the current variant.

Of course, it will get some upgrades here and there, but nothing significant. We firstly noticed on the spied prototype a new black wheels and some sharper lines on the side. Also, there is one image on the back, and the new 2023 Honda Odyssey seems mildly refreshed. From what we can see, it’s housing the new LED taillights and revised bumper.

Cabin Changes

The forthcoming 2023 Honda Odyssey will continue to be modern and spacious. Depending on trim level, this minivan can be chosen with either seven or eight seats. The entry-level LX is capable of accommodating seven occupants, while the other trims will take eight. There’s plenty of room, and cargo space stretches from 32.8 to 158 cubic feet.

The LX trim has decent standard equipment, such as power-adjustable front seats (8-way for the driver, 4-way for the passenger), several driver assistance features, and active noise cancellation. However, there are plenty of optional goodies and gadgets like heated/ventilated front seats, rear-seat entertainment system, leather seating surfaces, Wi-Fi, wireless charging, front/rear parking sensors, and a 12-volt outlet in the cargo area.

New Engine Rumored

At this point, we don’t know what will power the new 2023 Honda Odyssey model. Many believe that Honda might use some electrification to stand up with its competitors. On the other hand, many presume that the same engine will power it as before. The current model sends power to front wheels via a 3.5-liter V6, producing 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft torque.

This unit also comes with smooth 10-speed automatic transmission, and we expect all-wheel-drive finally as optional. As you may know, most rivals like the Toyota Sienna or Chrysler Pacifica offer an AWD system.

2023 Honda Odyssey Release Date and Price

The debut of the new 2023 Honda Odyssey minivan will most likely happen in the first quarter of next year. If you didn’t know, the Odyssey is one of the top minivans. Although many rivals have something new, but no one of them can match the package that this minivan offers.

It features attractive design language, and it rides on a reliable platform that’s also under Acura MDX, Honda Pilot, and Honda Ridgeline models. The base model starts at $33,265, and it can go up to $50,000 for the range-topping Elite variant.
