The 2023 Genesis GV60 is the company’s first foray into the all-electric crossover segment. According to reports, the forthcoming model will share its underpinnings with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6. It will come with an attractive design, followed by a very modern and comfortable interior as well.

On top of that, the Genesis GV60 will be available in a few different configurations. There is an Advanced model that makes combined 314 hp, while the Performance trim produces 429 hp. As far as we know, that number can be temporarily increased to 483 horsepower when the Boost driving mode is engaged.

Despite its small proportions, the 2023 Genesis GV60 comes with a long wheelbase and short overhangs, result in very compact and sleek styling. Moreover, depending on the chosen trim, the design of this model will vary. For example, choosing the Advanced trim, you’ll get 20-inch wheels, while the Performance model uses a bigger 21-inch alloys.

However, all models have the same chrome window surround, sloping roof, and double headlights that are echoed at the rear by dual taillights. According to Genesis, there’s a choice of 10 exterior colors, including Atacama Copper, Sao Paulo Lime, and Hanauma Mint.

Inside, the 2023 Genesis GV60 isn’t as modern and spacious as the larger GV70 and GV80 models. However, it offers a unique interior and a great package of high-tech. Indeed, this smallest SUV in the Genesis lineup boasts some novel techs. It comes with a large 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and with an identically-sized 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard, as well as a Bang & Olufsen stereo system.

Like the bigger GV80 model, the GV60 comes with a full suite of driver-assistance features. This model includes automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.

Also, it’s worth mentioning that the GV60 will be capable of running from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.

All versions will use a 77.4-kWh battery pack, and, reportedly, the all-wheel drive GV60 Advanced will cover 248 miles of driving range. The Performance model from information that we got carries an estimate of 235. All models supports DC fast charging, on which Genesis says the GV60’s battery can be charged from 10- to 80-percent capacity in less than 18 minutes.

The new 2023 Genesis GV60 will arrive later this year sharing the same underpinnings with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6. The brand’s first foray into the electric vehicle marketplace will cost you $59,985 for the Advance model, while the more powerful Performance should start at little less than $69,000.
