2023 Chevrolet Equinox

The new 2023 Chevrolet Equinox will arrive next year, featuring plenty of upgrades. This compact SUV looks handsome, and it offers a very modern cabin with seating for five. For 2023, the manufacture will make even more sleeker front end to give the Equinox sportier look. However, as before, the Equinox will be offered with a few trim levels, including the base LS, LT, RS, and Premier.

No matter which trim you choose, you’ll get plenty of standard equipment. Unfortunately, as before, there’s only one choice of engine. So, expect the new Equinox to be powered by the same 170-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.

2023 Chevrolet Equinox Redesign

The new 2023 Chevrolet Equinox will receive a small cosmetic refresh in the following year. So, we’re expecting it to be a mostly carryover model. As far as we know, Chevy will make this SUV sportier thanks to sleeker front end that will dominate. Unlike the outgoing model, the new one will come with a revised grille, better looking headlights, and hood.

The RS trim is the most popular, which includes 19-inch alloys and blacked-out exterior trim. There’s no doubt, the Equinox will look more attractive, and we can even expect slightly different rear end and more optional wheels and tires.

More Standard Equipment

With a slightly redesigned interior, the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox will definitely stand out in the class. This compact SUV is roomy, and even the 2nd-row seats have plenty of room for people to stretch out and relax. As for cargo room, the Equinox offers 30 cubic feet behind the rear seatback. Moreover, you can extend cargo room by folding down the rear bench.

Some tech refreshes will also happen, and the new SUV will come as standard with a 7-inch (optional 8-inch) infotainment system, supporting Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, audio streaming, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi hot spot.

2023 Chevrolet Equinox Engine Specs

Under the hood, we can expect the new 2023 Chevrolet Equinox to continue to use the same engine as its predecessor. The current SUV is powered by a 170-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder available with a choice of front or all-wheel-drive format. Considering that all remain unchanged, we should also expect the same fuel economy rate. Fuel mileage is one of the best in class, rated with the FWD model at 26 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, or 28 mpg combined.

Price, Release Date, and Competitors

After undergoing a small refresh last year, the next-generation 2023 Chevrolet Equinox will probably cost slightly more than before. So, we’re expecting the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox to start at about $27,000 for the entry-level LS trim. On the other hand, the top of the lineup, the Equinox Premier will start at $32,000 before any options. We are expecting this model to hit showrooms next year with more eye-catching front end.

Basically, there’s no doubt about it, the forthcoming 2023 Equinox will be more competitive, and it will try to keep up with models in the same class such as the Honda CR-V, Kia Sportage, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, Ford Escape, and Hyundai Tucson.
