GM’s pinnacle and the first company’s all-electric model, the Cadillac Lyriq, has been delayed for the next year. The brand-new nameplate 2023 Cadillac Lyriq is a futuristic all-electric SUV that should go head to head with models such as the Audi e-Tron, Jaguar I-Pace, and Tesla Model X.
According to officials, the Lyriq besides attractive exterior styling, should also introduce some advanced techs. This model features the same dashboard as the new Escalade. Basically, it hosts the same 33.0-inch curved LED display never seen on any Cadillac models so far. Basically, the display serves both the SUV’s infotainment system and the driver’s gauge display. 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Design
Unlike the whole fleet of Cadillac models, the brand-new 2023 Lyriq will introduce a new look. This SUV features more horizontal elements in the nose, making the front fascia more aggressive. As you can see, Cadillac is moving away from the shield-like grilles of its conventional models. Even with the electric vehicle underpinnings, the newest Lyriq sports the same proportions as the XT6 model. Basically, both models are very similar.
However, the new Lyriq comes with a more attractive grille and vertical LED lighting elements, which form the outboard edge of triangular inlets. A Cadillac badge is present beneath a slim slit that runs the width of the front deck. Also, Lyriq features a longer hood, attractive wheels, and a large glass area that ends in a C-pillar mounted rear-liftgate.
Premium Interior With a Unique 33-Inch Wide LED Screen
Inside, the forthcoming 2023 Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV will host only premium materials and the latest technology. However, we are not sure yet if this model will be only available in the form of two rows. Many believe that there will be an option to add a third row.
Although, the body shape of Lyriq is a more traditional hatchback than the sloping coupe-inspired 4-door SUV. So, we don’t think that there will be room for the third row. However, we know for sure that it will feature a unique 33-inch wide LED screen that incorporates the digital instrument cluster and infotainment center. On top of that, Cadillac also added a two-plane reality-enhanced head-up display, showing speed and other important information.
2023 Cadillac Lyriq Specs
The manufacturer has been mum so far about the 2023 Cadillac Lyric’s electric powertrain. Generally, we don’t know how much horsepower it will make. What we know is that the Lyriq will come standard in the rear-wheel-drive form with an electric motor on the rear axle.
Some early rumors indicate that all-wheel drive will be optional, and it will add a second motor at the front of this SUV. Cadillac promises a range greater than 300 miles, which is excellent. We should also expect a similar acceleration time as we saw on the recently tested I-Pace model that runs to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds.
2023 Cadillac Lyriq Release Date and Price
Cadillac recently revealed that the new 2023 Lyriq would arrive next year. Besides the new platform, this futuristic SUV introduces a fresh look. It features more horizontal elements in the nose, moving away from the shield-like grilles. On top of that, Cadillac promises 300 miles on the single charge. From some unofficial information, the Cadillac Lyriq may cost as much as the $80,000 Tesla Model X.
