If you’re looking for a pickup truck with a potent powertrain and extensive technology, the new 2022 Nissan Titan is a great option to consider. However, after receiving a slew of substantial updates last year, the upcoming Titan enters the next generation with mild changes.

The new light-duty truck was attended to be introduced as the 2021 model, but due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the manufacturer moved its production for the next year. Because of that, we heard that Nissan would introduce it as the 2022YM. However, besides some small exterior changes, the new Nissan Titan will also host a more upscale cabin. Unfortunately, under the hood, it continues to be powered by the same 5.6-liter V-8 that delivers 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque.

2022 Nissan Titan Exterior Redesign

As we mentioned, the forthcoming 2022 Nissan Titan will be a carryover model. That means most of the elements will remain, of course, with some small refreshments. The mid-cycle revamp brightening the grille with more chrome, new mirrors, door handles, sidestep, exhaust tip, and the stylish 20-inch alloy wheels. However, depending on the chosen trim, the exterior design of Titan will vary. For example, going for Platinum Reserve, one will get a 2-tone color scheme with a satin chrome grille and tailgate finisher.

However, the more rugged off-road-oriented Pro-4X is looking much better. This model comes with a blacked-out grille, red Nissan lettering, red tow hooks, black tailgate, special graphics, and black door handles. It also rolls on the dark-painted, 18-inch alloy wheels wearing all-terrain off-road tires.

Interior Updates

The Nissan Titan pickup truck impresses with its cabin. This model features plenty of premium materials, and on top of that, it offers outrageously comfy “Zero Gravity” front seats. However, it also provides ample interior storage, losing battle from many other trucks in the segment. Of course, it still offers a comfortable interior for five passengers. Every Titan has an 8.0-inch touchscreen standardly that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.

Moreover, a larger 9.0-inch unit is also available on the upper trim. Both interfaces come with the latest NissanConnect software, making every control smooth. On the upper trims, one can also found wireless charging for smartphones, a mobile hotspot, a powerful Fender audio system, and many more features.

2022 Nissan Titan Featuring the Same V8 Powertrain

Under the hood, the forthcoming 2022 Nissan Titan will be unchanged. That means the same engine will power it as its predecessor. Unlike many light-duty rivals that offer various powertrains, the Titan comes with only a single powertrain and transmission combo. This model draws power from a potent 5.6-liter V-8, capable of producing 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. Also, it’s paired with a very smooth nine-speed automatic transmission.

Release Date and Price

The new 2022 Nissan Titan received a slew of substantial updates, which is, in our opinion, not enough to stay competitive on the market. In the same category are many models that offer more for invested money. One such example is the new Ram 1500, which offers impressive ride quality, and an even more upscale cabin.

As we mentioned, Nissan moved production of Titan pickup due to the Covid-19 outbreak for the next year. As for the pricing, some early reports show that the base model might start slightly higher than $38,000.
