The upcoming 2022 Mazda 6 isn’t just the ordinary mid-size sedan. This model is enjoyable to drive and is powered by very potent engines. As for the design, Mazda 6 is recognized on the road by its attractive grille, standard LED headlights, LED taillights, and dual exhaust pipes.
Carbon Edition is available as well, hosting exclusive Polymetal Gray exterior paint, 19-inch alloy wheels with a metallic black finish, and a more sporty stance on the back.
Premium and Comfortable Cabin
Despite many rivals in the mid-size sedan segment, the 2022 Mazda 6 still has one of the best interior in its class. The interior is clean, and it features many impressive materials and upscale decor. Basically, Mazda 6 offers more comfort than any of its rivals. The front seats offers great room and comfort, while the rear legroom provides 38.7 inches of space. However, trunk capacity is not so impressive with 14.7 cubic feet, but it can be increased folding rear seats.
In terms of equipment, the forthcoming Mazda 6 employs a dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 8-inch color infotainment touchscreen, Bluetooth phone/audio, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration.
2022 Mazda 6 Deploys Two Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the forthcoming 2022 Mazda 6 uses the same engines as its predecessor. The Sport and Touring models comes with a 2.5-liter/4-cylinder unit that generates 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. However, the more potent is a 2.5-liter turbo inline-4 that can get it with Grand Touring, Reserve, and Signature models.
Unlike the first one, this unit has a cylinder deactivation feature to help save fuel when not under load. It also produces more outputs, 227 horsepower or (250 horsepower with 93-octane). Both engines comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive system.
How Much Does the New 2022 Mazda 6 Cost?
The latest 2022 Mazda 6 looks stylish than ever. This mid-size sedan comes with a Kodo design language and is available with two different engines. Reportedly, the refreshed sedan will arrive sometime this year, starting at more than $25,000 for the base model. However, the most expensive Mazda 6 Signature tops the range at $37,000.
Models like Hyundai Sonata and Subaru Legacy are less expensive, while base Nissan Altima and Honda Accord are practically the same as the Mazda 6 Sport.
