The new 2022 Lexus RX 350 is coming and looks that it will carry-over into 2022 with minimal changes. Even so, this SUV remains to be one of the most attractive and pleasant models in its segment. While the main rival, the Acura MDX, is getting a complete overhaul, the forthcoming Lexus RX will come with mild refreshments.
If you didn’t know, Lexus restyled the RX 350 last year, so it’s unlikely we’re going to see anything significant on the new one. Besides, Lexus will probably keep the same engine options. That means we should expect the same range of four engines.
2022 Lexus RX 350 Redesign
The exterior styling of the new 2022 Lexus RX 350 will be mostly unchanged compared to the outgoing model. This model remains compact, attractive and is one of the most selling SUVs in the class. It’s recognized by its aesthetic features like a unique grille and eye-catching LED headlights. Generally, for 2022, the same design language is present, with mild refreshments on the front. This model comes with blacked-out rear pillars that give a visual effect like the floating roof. The longer version RX L will not differ from the regular model in terms of design but is around 4.4 inches longer.
The F Sport model is available as well, and it provides a more distinctive look. This model features more black accents and attractive 20-inch alloy wheels.
The cabin of the new 2022 Lexus RX 350 provides great comfort and plenty of upscale materials. The standard RX offers 16.0 cubic feet behind the second row that can be expanded to 32.6 when the seat is folded. However, if you are looking for an SUV that offers more room, the L version is an ideal model to consider. This version is 4.4-inch longer, offering 16.3 cubic feet, and can be expanded to 70.7 cubic feet. Generally, unlike the regular model, the RX 350L offers seating for seven with a 3-seater bench in the second row.
The offer’s highlight is definitively the new 12.3-inch split-screen multimedia screen, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, ten airbags, power-adjustable steering wheel, simulated leather interior, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more.
2022 Lexus LX 350 Engine Specs
The latest 2022 Lexus LX 350 is the SUV that is available with four engine options. The first one that powers the base model is a 3.5-liter V6 engine developing 295 hp. This engine uses front wheels (FWD) drive through 8-speed automatic transmission.
The next engine is also a 3.5-liter V6 but with less output 290 horsepower. This engine is available with the models like RX 350L, RX 350L, and F Sport. The last two engines are hybrid ones available with RX 450h, and RX 450hL models. Both models use a 3.5-liter V6 paired with a battery-electric powertrain for a total system output of 308 horsepower. Unlike the first engines, those ones come with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) as standard.
Launch Date and Price
The new 2022 Lexus RX 350 will arrive sometime this year, but unfortunately, with only mild updates. Generally, this SUV looks attractive, and it still offers one of the techy cabins. Besides, it also features more driver-assist features as well as amenities.
As for the pricing, expect the standard model to cost $48,000, while the most expensive RX 450hL with all-wheel drive $51,000. As you can see, Lexus RX undercuts European rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, BMW X5, and Volvo XC90.
