The redesign of the upcoming 2022 Lexus GX 460 is just happening. Lexus has finally made a few changes to its aging GX SUV, according to the latest spy shots. First of all, the front of this model is revised, and it offers more aggressive styling. However, it still rides on the body-on-frame construction and old-school all-wheel-drive hardware.
Generally, this truck-based SUV has a sturdy reputation. It features standard power-operated third-row of seats and a great cabin with many premium materials. Under the hood, the forthcoming SUV still uses a 4.6-liter V-8 powertrain that generates 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. This powerplant comes with a proven six-speed automatic transmission, providing smooth shifting.

For 2022, the new GX will receive some mid-cycle updates. The design looks fresh, and the 2022 Lexus GX 460 features an updated spindle-style grille with a 3-dimensional look that triple-beam flanks LED headlights.
Generally, this is one of the boxy-shaped SUVs on the market. Although, thanks to that, it offers great headroom and cargo space. The body frame construction is stronger, and like the previous model, the new GX is dimensionally the same. This SUV measures the length of 192,1 in, width 74,2 in, and the whellbase of 109,8 inches.
In standard form, the 2022 Lexus GX 460 has many more features to show than the outgoing model. This big SUV comes in the form of 3-row/7-occupant seating, offering plenty of room for all. The seats are comfortable, and the base model, like the Premium versions, has NuLuxe simulated-leather upholstery. Moreover, as you can see, even in its base form, the Lexus GX 460 is well stocked. Some of the interesting features that are standard are 10-way power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, power moonroof, and keyless entry/ignition.
However, in terms of entertainment and phone connectivity, the new Lexus GX 460 offers an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, four USB ports, Siri Eyes Free iPhone, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant.
On the safety side, the 2022 Lexus GX 460 comes with multiple driver aids. This SUV has ten airbags, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The current model with the same engine cruised from zero to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds. However, in the same class, Audi Q7 covers the same distance in 6.1 seconds.
