Unlike the regular Jeep Grand Cherokee version, the new 2022 SRT features a more sporty exterior, which has certainly improved for 2022. The dimensions of the high-performance version are not much unlike the regular Grand Cherokee variants. The SRT measures 191.3 inches, width 77.1 inches, and the wheelbase of 114.8 inches.

For 2022, the SRT gains more gloss black accents on the front giving, resulting in a more eye-catching grille, and better shaped LED headlights. The 20-inch wheels are standard, and we must admit, they look cool on this version. However, everything is mostly the same on the back, and SRT boasts a subtle roof spoiler and single-exit exhaust tips.

The latest Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT looks inside more sporty than the outgoing model. This SUV version features many upgrades adding more quality materials and touches. It’s dressed up with carbon-fiber trim and faux-suede accents. The cabin has ample passenger room, and it comes in the form of three rows of seats.

Overall, there is impressive storage space behind that should hold 11 carry-on bags and 24 with the rear seat folded. Build quality of this SUV is great, and the SRT tuned Jeep comes with a great 8.4-inch infotainment system, also known as Uconnect, and many amenities that are optional on the base model. There’s plenty of standard equipment, including a Wi-Fi hotspot, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats. The SRT also comes with HD Radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

Unlike the Trackhawk model that offers a 707-hp supercharged V-8, the new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT uses a milder version of the 6.4-liter V-8 engine. However, it still delivers outstanding performances and output of 475 horses and 470 lb-ft of torque.

Basically, thanks to this engine and balanced weight, the SRT can run from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.4 seconds, which is about 0.2 seconds slower than a Dodge SChallenger T/A 392. However, like the previous generation, the new one still has a maximum tow rating of 7200 pounds.

Launch Date and Price

The new SRT-tuned Jeep offers much more features than the original one. Basically, this model wears more aggressive bodywork and comes standard with a sport-tuned suspension and upgraded brakes. Besides, it also offers a much more comfortable cabin, featuring more quality materials.

The manufacturer recently stated that the new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT would hit markets later this year, starting higher than before. The current model starts at $70k and can go up to $90k fully loaded.
