The all-new fastback 2022 Infiniti QX55 is arriving, and we can expect it to debut next year. This SUV looks handsome and is inspired by the famous brand’s mid-size FX model. However, it shares its platform with the compact QX50, and it uses the same engine as well.

The new SUV is powered by the variable-compression turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 268 horsepower. On top of that, it offers an all-wheel drive as standard. The coupe-like SUV Infiniti QX55 is expected to roll into U.S. dealerships in spring 2021, with the starting price of $45,000.

2022 Infiniti QX55 Featuring Remarkable Design

The exterior of the 2022 Infiniti QX55 is sleek and attractive. Honestly, it looks better than the QX50. However, it features the same roofline as the original Infiniti FX35. The front of QX55 dominates, and it draws much of the attention thanks to a sizeable double-arch grille with folded origami-inspired elements.

Also, the grille is flanked by LED headlights shaped to mimic eyebrows. On top of that, the side profile reveals fastback styling, with a sloped roofline and attractive twenty-inch wheels that are standard. Overall, the new SUV looks handsome, exceptionally painted in Dynamic Sunstone Red.

Interior Sneak Peek

The new 2022 Infiniti QX55 fastback is available with the latest technology. Unlike the QX50, this model features a sloped roof, meaning compromised headroom on the back. Cargo space is less generous than in QX50, and you can literary put nine of our carry-on suitcases behind the second row. However, if we put that on the side, the new model offers a very modern cabin.

The base model comes standard with faux-leather upholstery, while genuine leather and semi-aniline leather can be found on upper trims. Like the QX50 model, the new QX55 is committed to a dual-screen infotainment setup. This model on the top display provides navigation, while the secondary screen serves for radio and vehicle settings. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard equipment, while 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot as the Bose stereo system comes optionally.

2022 Infiniti QX55 Engine Specs

As we mentioned, the upcoming 2022 Infiniti QX55 shares its platform with the QX50 model, and it uses the same powertrain. First of all, this SUV is available only with one engine option.

It comes with a variable-compression turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder capable of producing 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. According to Infiniti, the new model will also come standard with all-wheel drive. It’s generally a good engine with ample power and the real-world fuel-economy in city/highway of 22/28 mpg.

Release Date and Price

The new 2022 Infiniti QX55 looks more handsome than the QX50 model. Moreover, it uses the same platform, and it borrows its engine. Infiniti recently revealed that coupe-like SUV would probably roll into U.S. dealerships in spring 2021.

It sits just below QX60, but it provides more standard features. Basically, if you’re looking for the fastback model, the upcoming QX55 is a great option to consider. This SUV offers more than you need, including ProPilot Assist, head-up display (HUD), and navigation for just $45,000. In the same sporty coupe luxury segment are models such as BMW X4 and Mercedes GLC Coupe.
