The 11th-generation, 2022 Honda Civic Sedan, boasts cleaner styling and plenty of upgrades. First of all, Honda has stretched the Civic sedan’s wheelbase by 1.4 inches, making it look larger. Generally speaking, the more tortured lines are replaced by a more flowing design, identical as we saw on the latest Accord sedan. The LX that’s base trim is offered with 16-inch wheels, while the Sport has 18-inch black wheels. Moreover, the Touring has the most stylish 18-inch wheels with grey inserts.

Besides the sedan version, the manufacturer will also introduce refreshed hatchback model, along with Si and Type R high-performance variants. Moreover, the most exciting news is that there will be eight exterior colors available, including three new ones: Meteorite Grey Metallic, Sonic Grey Pearl, and Morning Mist Blue.

The much basics model offers a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and it features plenty of hard buttons, including volume and tuning knobs. It also offers Apple CarPlay/Android Auto as standard. However, stepping into more equipment Touring model, buyers will get a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen along with a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster and an upgraded Bose audio system.

A naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four is powering the base model, and it delivers 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. Unlike before, this engine benefits from a new engine start-stop system that is standard. However, a more powerful 1.5-liter inline-four is again included on EX and Touring trims.

Compared to the previous one, this engine delivers 6-hp more and 15 pound-feet for 180 hp and 177 pound-feet totals. A manual transmission is available only with Si and Type R models, while all non-performance Civics will have a continuously variable automatic transmission.
