The forthcoming 2022 Ford F-250 has been spied testing two days ago wearing heavy camouflage. At first glance, the next-gen pickup truck will definitely bring some upgrades over the current one. Generally, this model will keep the same shape and dimension, but it will receive some small exterior modifications. Overall, the design is visually better, and we can expect some updates inside, too.

However, as before, Ford F-250 will keep the same potent engines. That means it will deploy three engine variants. The range of engines starts with a 6.2-liter gasoline V8, and it ends with the most potent 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel V8 that delivers 450 horsepower and amazing torquing of 1,050 lb-ft of torque.

Moreover, we heard that the famous Blue Oval would deliver various visual updates, and it will continue to ride on the same platform as before.

2022 Ford F250 Powertrain Options

After the popular F-150, the new Ford F250 will also be a carryover model. This model offers three drivetrain options. The first engine is a 6.2-liter gasoline V8 that makes 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and it uses Rear-wheel drive (RWD) as standard.

The next one is stronger 7.3-liter V8 gasoline, delivering an output of 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. Unlike the first engine, this one uses a more economic 10-speed automatic transmission. Lastly, the most potent offer is a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 that produces 450 horsepower and an unbelievable 1,050 lb-ft of torque. This model also uses a 10-speed automatic transmission with the option to choose 4-wheel drive (4WD) optionally.

Release Date and Cost

The redesigned version of the potent 2022 F-250 is spied testing recently, and we must say, it looks more robust than before. Blue Oval revealed that the next generation would arrive next year as 2022YM.

The forthcoming model will cost slightly more than the predecessor because of many improvements over it. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of the newest XL trim regular cab will be less than $35,000. In the same price range are models like Chevy Silverado 2500 HD, GMC Sierra 2500HD, and the Ram 2500 HD.
