The new three-row SUV 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe is expected to be introduced next year with plenty of improvements. This shorter version of the planetary popular Chevy Suburban, besides exterior updates, will feature a redesigned cabin.
It will also come with more technology than we saw in the current one. From some speculations, most likely we will see the same dedicated V-8 engines under the hood and an efficient diesel version. Chevy stated that the next-gen model would cost $ 50,295, which is an increase of $ 1,000 from the outgoing model.

The new full-size SUV 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe looks refreshed and bigger. From the latest report, the upcoming model will be more than half a foot longer than the old model. However, like before, this SUV is sharing design cues and mechanical structures with the larger Chevy Silverado. Overall, design is unique and modern.
The noticeable changes include slimmer LED headlights, more attractive grille, and fog lights that are bigger than before. The side profile will remain unchanged with stylish 18-inch wheels. On top of that, Tahoe will also receive its first independent rear suspension, which has been adopted from Ford Expedition and Nissan Armada.
Cabin Is Spacious and Modern
In the interior section, the redesigned 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe offers a very spacious cabin. Basically, it feels more spacious compared to the other models in the same class. The new third-row SUV has been added more than 10 inches of legroom, while the cargo with folded seats provides 123 cubic feet (28 more than before). In terms of equipment, the Tahoe comes standard with a large head-up display, heated and ventilated seats, digital cluster-gauge display, and more.
On the technology side, it’s available with a 10-inch touch screen that includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Wi-Fi hotspot, a powerful Bose audio system, and a rear-seat entertainment system with two 12.6-inch screens mounted behind the front seats.
2022 Chevrolet Tahoe Powertrain Specs
The new 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe will use continue to use the same engines as the predecessor. The first one is the mighty 5.3-liter V8 engine that comes standard. This model produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. Standard in the High Country variant is a 6.2-liter V8 providing 420 leading hp with a 460 lb-ft twist.
Both V8 units above are equipped with automatic stop-start, direct fuel injection, variable valve timing, and GM Dynamic Fuel Management cylinder deactivation system. The most favorite engine is a 3.0-liter diesel. Like the base one, this unit will be available on all models except the Z71. It burns out an impressive rating of 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. As for the towing, expect the same capacity of 8,400 pounds.
Price and Release Date
The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe base LS model is starting at $49,000, plus a destination charge of $1,295. The most selling among trims LT starts at $53,800, while the RST models begin at $57,100.
Fully loaded, the new Tahoe can easily pass the $70,000 mark. Compared to the base models in the segment, Tahoe is a few thousand less than the Ford Expedition and is in line with Toyota Sequoia.
