According to Toyota, the new Hybrid will be built on the latest global architecture platform shared with the Camry sedan. As you may know, the RAV4 also shares many cues with its sibling Toyota 4Runner.
2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Comes With Sharper Angles
The regular generic lines of the RAV4 have been replaced by an aggressive, truck-like design. Besides, the new 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid model also offers sharper angles and geometric shapes throughout the body.
The body of this SUV looks refreshed and we like two-tone paint schemes that separate this model from the rest of models in the same segment. The latest 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid will be available with the same powertrain. If you remember, the hybrid model is the most powerful in the RAV4 lineup. It uses a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine + electric motors. Thanks to that, this model is capable of producing 219 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque. As you may know, the regular version comes with a 2.5-liter inline-4 that makes 203 hp.
Moreover, expect for better output this time and a sport-tuned suspension that’s exclusive to the XSE. The sport-tuned suspension has an aggressive spring rate, firmer damping, and more returned shocks than the regular one.
Release Date and Cost
The new 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is the model that will introduce some refreshments over the regular one. With that, we mean that it will provide better styling, comfort, and the most important a more potent engine. Also, hybrid models offer an even stronger value proposition and better fuel economy than the non-hybrid RAV4. In addition, there will be four trims available. The RAV4 LE Hybrid starts little more than $29,000, the XLE Hybrid at $30,515, the XSE Hybrid at $35,170, while the Limited Hybrid is less than $38,000.
The new model can be expected to arrive at the end of this year. This model is very competitive and it’s in the class with models such as Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester, and Nissan Pathfinder.
