The new performance-coupe model 2021 Subaru BRZ is arriving. This car is recently spied testing and it hosts notable exterior changes. According to the latest reports, the Subaru BRZ will be powered by a 2.4-liter Boxer-4 engine that will, for sure, smoke its competition.
From what we heard, the new vehicle will be introduced to the public later this year, while sales might starts sometime in the first quarter of the next year. However, due to the ongoing Covid-19, the launch is likely to be moved to the second quarter of 2021. Interestingly, from the manufacturer statement, prices for the 2021 BRZ will rise significantly because of the new engine upgrade.
2021 Subaru BRZ Features Notable Exterior Changes
The next-gen 2021 Subaru BRZ will be treated with notable exterior changes. From the spy photos, we can see the refreshed body that looks more aggressive. Generally, in front of this coupe, the manufacturer used a more significant, wider bumper, and air intakes. The grille has a new pattern and we like refreshed LED headlights. Moving to the side profile, the same aero kits with bigger sporty alloy wheels are present.
Basically, body lines are similar to what we saw on the concept model. At the back, it provides the same aggressiveness as on the front. Subaru updated LED taillights and it used a much bigger spoiler. Also, BRZ uses two chrome exhaust systems, giving a more sporty stance.
Interior Includes Leather Upholstery
The new 2021 Subaru BRZ hosts a very comfortable interior with a lot of space. Stepping inside, you’ll found sporty designed seats that are well cushioned and positioned. This model comes standard with leather upholstery and it includes Alcantara headliner, which feels premium.
Some of the interior features that this model offers are front and rear seats cup holders, a rearview camera, dual illuminating vanity mirrors, cargo floor mats, and telescoping steering wheel. The recently spied 2021 Subaru BRZ also includes tons of features as standard. It comes with a 7.0-inch touchscreen that has navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. Moreover, other standard features are the eight-speaker sound system, USB Ports, Automatic Climate Control, and SiriusXM satellite radio.
2021 Subaru BRZ Under the Hood
The latest 2021 Subaru BRZ will ride on the new TNGA architecture that underpins Toyota’s Corolla model. Thanks to this platform, the new model can deploy a rear-wheel-drive powertrain.
Subaru BRZ comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder boxer motor that also powers US-market Ascent SUV. This engine is potent and it produces 252 hp output. This is a huge upgrade over the current BRZ that provides 197 horses. The new two-door coupe will use a standard 6-speed manual gearbox, while 6-speed automatic comes optionally.
Release Date and Price
The upcoming 2021 Subaru BRZ was recently spied testing and we can see that it host plenty of improvements. The redesigned version looks more aggressive and it uses a more powerful engine. From what we heard, Subaru will release the new model later this year, while sales should start at the first-second quartal of 2021. Price is not yet available, but from many speculations, it should be around $31,000.
