One of the largest Subaru SUVs one the market Ascent is ready to receive some noticeable improvements. The new 2021 Subaru Ascent looks refreshed and is now bigger than ever.

Besides its great-looking exterior, the upcoming model will come with a fresh and modern interior. Thanks to all changes this time, the midsize 3-row SUV Subaru Ascent will try to beat models in the same class, such as Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade, and Honda Pilot.

At first glance, the upcoming 2021 Subaru Ascent is looking the same as the current model. However, some small mild refreshments happened and this SUV is looking more significant than before. Exterior design is stylish and we mostly like the front of this midsize SUV. It features a very recognized grille and pair of revised LED headlights that are looking more shaped this time.

According to the manufacturer, the new SUV is lifted 8.7 inches of ground clearance, giving better off-road ability. Also, the Subaru added fog lights lower-door cladding and chrome accents on the base model. However, range-topping Touring models look better and it adds side mirrors in satin silver, chrome door handles, and a chrome skid plate.

Interior, Infotainment, and Connectivity

Thew forthcoming 2021 Subaru Ascent is the large SUV that will introduce many improvements. This time the manufacturer raised driving position and versatile seating configurations. If you didn’t know, this model comes with three rows of seats and it provides a spacious cabin for all occupants. However, if this is not enough roomy SUV for you, one can go for a much bigger model like Volkswagen Atlas. The Ascent can pack up to eight people inside with five carry-on bags behind the third row. When folded third row, this model offers more than 86 cubic feet of cargo space.

In terms of techs, the big Subaru’s SUV features a brand new infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Safety

The new 2021 Subaru Ascent has been rated with five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This model includes forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and much more.

2021 Subaru Ascent Under the Hood

The upcoming 2021 Subaru Ascent is the excellent looking SUV that unfortunately comes with single-engine options. This model uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder powertrain that makes 260 horsepower going to all four wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

This transmission simulates an 8-speed automatic that can be used manually with paddle shifters mounted beneath the steering wheel. From what we heard, Ascent with this powertrain will be able to maximum tow around 5,000 pounds.

Release Date and Price

The new 2021 Subaru Ascent looks much better than before. Generally, this year SUV offers plenty of improvements, including better styling and a more spacious and techy cabin. From what we heard, this facelifted version will arrive later this year, with a starting price of $33,345 for the base model. The most expensive one is Touring, which reaches a $46,495 mark.
