2021 Mazda CX-5 Engine Specs

Like before, the 2021 Mazda CX-5 will use three engine variants. The first one is available on the trims Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. This unit consists of a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with cylinder deactivation that produces 187-horsepower. Basically, this engine on the current model contributes an impressive average fuel economy of up to 28 mpg. Also, it’s paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and it comes default with front-wheel drive (FWD). All-wheel drive (AWD) is available optionally. Generally, with this engine and AWD system, Mazda CX-5 can tow a maximum of 2,000 pounds.

The next engine comes standard on trims Grand Touring Reserve and Signature. It uses a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 250-horsepower. Like the first one, it comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission, but it includes a standard all-wheel-drive. Towing capacity, thanks to this unit, measures 3,500 pounds. How Much Does the 2021 Mazda CX-5 Cost?

Like before, the new 2021 Mazda CX-6 should keep the same (MSRP) of $26,135 for the front-drive Sport model. However, we recommended a Touring trim that brings more comfort and convenience equipment. This model starts at ($27,775) and it can be equipped with an all-wheel-drive system for just $1,400.

Carbon Edition that will probably use an engine that delivers 250 horses might cross 30k. Models in the same class as Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4 don’t provide the same level of luxury but are in the same price range as the CX-5.
