The forthcoming 2021 Mazda 6 is ready to conquer the sedan segment later this month. Interestingly, the new model is getting a few essential updates, including a more attractive look, slightly more torque, and better techs.

According to Mazda, cargo capacity is increased, and now there is a room for six carry-on bags we fit in the trunk and the 17 we fit with the rear seats folded. The theme inside is stylish with black trim pieces and red leather upholstery with gray stitching.
In terms of techs, every model includes a new infotainment system that is connectivity supported with features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless CarPlay software is standard on the Grand Touring model.
Safety
Mazda’s suite of active safety features this year includes forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and rear-cross-traffic alert standardly, and lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist.
2021 Mazda 6 Powertrain Specs
The latest 2021 Mazda 6 shouldn’t get any changes under the hood. Moreover, the base model will be powered with the same naturally aspirated 2.5-liter engine. However, the optional one turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four will get some mechanical changes.
This unit now provides an extra 10 lb-ft of torque, which means a total of 320. It comes with the same reliable six-speed automatic transmission as the only option. If you remember, Mazda manufacturer last year promised a diesel engine and an all-wheel-drive system as standard. However, it seems that plan has been changed obviously.
Release Date and Price
The new 2021 Mazda 6 will mostly come unchanged. Generally, the manufacturer focused on the new Carbon Edition that introduces appearance tweak over the regular model. This sedan features a unique Polymetal Gray color and some black accents. Mazda 6 Carbon Edition sits just below the top Signature trim, and it costs around $33,745. Pricing for the base model starts slightly higher than before, at $25,720. Moreover, Turbo models begin with the $30,970 Grand Touring.
