Is the 2021 Kia Telluride a Full-Size SUV?

The new 2021 Kia Telluride is a mid-size SUV that looks handsome thanks to its rugged yet elegant design. This model is featuring the most extensive tiger-nose grille seen from Kia. The grill is attractive, and it uses beautiful chrome finish across the top and bottom, making this SUV very recognized. It also has a broad hood and it comes standard with 18-inch wheels. Moreover, going up to higher trims, buyers will get the option to choose even bigger 20-inches wheels. The look on the front is completed with great shaped LED headlights providing distinctive design.

The new Nightfall Edition package is available to choose in trims EX and SX trims, giving this SUV darker elements making it more aggressive than the rest of trims.

First Look Inside

The latest Telluride has one of the roomiest cabins in its segment. This model offers three rows of seating and room for either eight or seven passengers. Like before, Telluride has ample headroom and legroom. However, like many other models in the same segment, the 3rd-row bench is ideal for average-size passengers. Besides, the new SUV Telluride also provides an excellent cargo room. Folding both rear rows, this model opens 87 cubic feet of cargo room.

The forthcoming 2021 Kia Telluride mid-size SUV is available in trims LX, S, EX, and SX. Even a base model is quite well equipped. This trim features Sofino synthetic leather upholstery, keyless entry with push-button start and remote vehicle start, rear-passenger air conditioning one-touch sliding and folding 2nd-row seats. Also, it includes a brand-new infotainment system of an 8-inch touchscreen offering Apple CarPlay, Android Auto compatibility. However, going for the top-line Telluride SX model, buyers will get dual sunroofs, 10-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, and 7-inch digital panel in the instrument cluster.

Safety

The Telluride offers a high standard safety system. Generally, the list is longer than before and including a forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

Engine Specs

Like before, the Kia Telluride will come standardly with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) system, while AWD all-wheel drive is optional. From what we heard, the new model will provide better fuel economy. However, the manufacturer didn’t yet release any information. The current Telluride is providing an EPA 20-mpg city/26-mpg highway/23-mpg combined. However, the model with all-wheel drive (AWD) slips slightly to 19-mpg city/24-mpg highway/21-mpg combined.
