The arrival of a new unibody pickup truck 2021 Honda Ridgeline is just around the corner. From the information that we got, the new generation Ridgeline is not expected to carry any significant changes. Of course, some small modifications should happen and expect this model to be more competitive.

Overall, we heard plenty of rumors recently regarding this model, and one of the newest is that Ridgeline may get a hybrid powertrain alongside the aging V6. However, this claim is not yet confirmed officially.

The 2021 Honda Ridgeline is based on the Honda Pilot SUV, and both models share plenty of similarities and the same platform. That’s good, consider the popularity of the flagship Honda Pilot model. For 2021, the traditional body-on-frame design is refreshed, and Ridgeline is looking better than ever. The styling is cleaner and forthcoming mid-size pickup trucks still host the same recognized front fascia. At the front, we can see the newly revamped grille and the same shaped headlights.

Besides small design updates, this pickup truck will host more lifted suspension, providing better off-roading. Although not as off-road-capable as the Toyota Tundra, Chevrolet Colorado, or Ford Ranger, the Ridgeline still can tackle bumping roads with easy.

Cabin Hosts More Premium Elements

Stepping inside the new 2021 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck, you’ll notice plenty of premium elements. That’s because Ridgeline shares plenty of cues with the Honda Pilot. First thing first, the cabin is spacious and the new model is featuring the same layout through two rows of seats. All seats provide excellent support with 10-way-power adjustable driver’s seat.

In terms of techs, this model offers a long list of standard features. It includes a tri-zone automatic climate control with filtration, an 8-inch touch-screen infotainment setup, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, 200-watt audio system with subwoofer, Bluetooth for phone and music streaming.

Honda Sensing package is standard on all Honda models, and it includes collision-mitigation braking, active cruise control, road departure mitigation, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist.

2021 Honda Ridgeline Powertrain Specs

Like the previous model, the new version 2021 Honda Ridgeline will most likely use the same powertrain. The current model comes with a 3,5 liter V6 powertrain producing 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. One can choose between front- or all-wheel drive (FWD, AWD).

Also, the V6 engine uses the same 9-speed automatic transmission, and it features direct injection/cylinder deactivation to improve fuel efficiency. From what we heard, some mechanical changes will happen, and Ridgeline will provide around 5 % better efficiency. The current model with the same engine offers excellent fuel economy 19-mpg city, 26 highway. As you probably know, the towing capacity of this model using the AWD system is 5,000 pounds. Hybrid speculation doesn’t settle at all, and if this model happens, expect much better fuel efficiency.

The upcoming 2021 Honda Ridgeline is a very famous pickup truck that will keep the same shape and dimensions. Unfortunately, significant changes that we expected will not happen this time. The new model will gain a somehow better look and some small refreshments inside. Honda confirms that this model will arrive next year as a 2021MY, starting at a little less than $35,000.
