2021 Honda Pilot

The best midsize SUV on the market 2021 Honda Pilot is coming with more improvements. This model is trendy and is an excellent alternative if you need a spacious SUV for your family.

Not so spacious as a minivan, Pilot offers three rows of seats and a stylish cabin. Besides that, it wears the new Hondas design language that we recently saw on the Passport model. Unfortunately, in terms of mechanical changes, the new model comes with the same 3.5-liter V6, as the current one.

2021 Honda Pilot Facelift

Design-wise, the upcoming 2021 Honda Pilot will provide the same lines as predecessors with a more appealing look. Honda added a new Special Edition model this year, that will drastically change the design of this SUV. The new trim slots between the EX/Touring trims, and it features more blacked elements like Black Edition.

Besides, the regular model is also refreshed and this midsize 3-row crossover SUV is looking better than before. The manufacturer revised its grille, and it added sharper LED headlights. Overall, thanks to that, this model hosts almost identical front fascia as Passport. Other visible design upgrades include roof rails that are optional on the lower trims, 20-inch alloy wheels, and hands-free tailgate.

First Look Inside

The latest 2021 Honda Pilot offers one of the spacious and trendy cabins in its segment. This model comes with the same layout as before and it provides three rows of seats. However, the third row’s low seat is only practical for kids. If you didn’t know, Pilot has been last year awarded as one of the SUVs that provide best-in-class visibility thanks to large windows and thin, unobtrusive roof pillars. The Pilot’s new dashboard layout is simple and it features easy-to-use climate controls and whopping 16 cupholders throughout the cabin.

Like before, the base LX trim comes with a 5.0-inch display, while EX and above trims offer an 8.0-inch touchscreen with SiriusXM satellite radio. Also, all models come standardly with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, voice command, and other app functions.

2021 Honda Pilot Under the Hood

The latest 2021 Honda Pilot is refreshed, but under its hood is the same before single powertrain. Like the current model, the new one employs a refined 3.5-liter V6 engine making a high output of 280 horsepower. This engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard in most trims, while all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional.

Besides, the new Pilot also uses a stop/start feature that turns off the engine at idle and saving your fuel. Going for a base model with the FWD system, towing capacity is limited to 3,500, while with AWD, this amount will jump to 5,000 pounds.
