2021 GMC Acadia Changes

GMC has refreshed its 2021 Acadia model. Visually, the new 2021 GMC Acadia comes with a more attractive design that stands out from other SUVs in the same segment. Interestingly, Acadia comes with a new grille and refreshed LED headlights.

There are also some small revisions to the rear end that includes sharper taillights and stronger bumper. Like the current model, the new one can be also wrapped in AT4 trim. This model brings more off-road-inspired design, including stylish 17-inch wheels fitted with all-terrain tires.

Interior Design and Trim Specs

Like before, the new 2021 GMC Acadia is available in five trim levels SL, SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. Each of these trims provides excellent value for invested money. The base SL is relatively well-equipped. This trim features an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and OnStar with onboard Wi-Fi. Comfort is excellent and seats are wrapped in cloth upholstery. The SLE is the next trim that includes a few upgrades. There are notably better satellite radio and selectable traction control modes. Also, this trim opens more access for updates such as the turbocharged engine.

In the middle is an SLT model. Generally, this is the most favorite trim. It provides plenty of luxury and practicality through leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, a power liftgate, remote start, and second-row captain’s chairs in place of a bench. The new AT4 is also available. This trim is an ideal for off-road lovers and it comes with some extra off-road aids such as hill descent control and automatic hill hold. Lastly, most equipment trims Denali, including a luxurious package of features. Denali includes navigation, a Bose stereo system, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated second-row seats. Besides, it hosts better aids such as forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking as well as lane-keeping assist.

2021 GMC Acadia Powertrain Specifications

The current model received a refresh that also included a new turbocharged four-cylinder option and nine-speed transmission. From what we heard, the new 2021 GMC Acadia will be a carryover. Three engine options power this model. The base model SL is available with a 2.5-liter engine that is capable of producing 193 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. This model uses a front-wheel-drive system and can be equipped optionally with an all-wheel drive.

Going for upper trims, buyers will get an option to go for a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that produces 230 hp, 258 lb-ft of torque. Besides this engine, the manufacturer also offers a more potent 3,6 liter V6 that makes 310 hp and 271 lb-ft.

Release Date and Cost

The redesigned version 2021 GMC Acadia is announced and we can expect plenty of improvements. As we mentioned, the new model deploys the same engines as predecessors and it uses the same mechanics. From the latest information, the upcoming Acadia might debut in Q3 of this year. Pricing is not year declared, but we think that it might cost slightly more than before.
