If you are seeking for midsize-crossover SUV that provides great styling and good gadgetry, the new 2021 Chevy Blazer is the right choice. The all-new model is looking to compete with rides like the Ford Edge, Honda Passport, and Nissan Murano.

According to Chevy, the new model will be available later this year and it will be offered in few trim levels. Each of trims will come with a very rich amount of standard equipment. Besides the regular model, the manufacturer will also introduce a sporty RS version to compete with the Ford Edge ST.

The forthcoming 2021 Chevy Blazer model will get a couple of refreshments. This new model is available only with four doors, while older versions had two. Its nose looks attractive and the Blazer features thin, sharply “headlights” and LED running lights. Like before, headlights sit midway down the fascia.

A few trim levels will be available. Moving up to the Premier trim the buyers will get more chrome accents and stylish 20-inch wheels. However, going for Blazer RS, you’ll get a more sporty appearance. This trim comes exclusively with sporty 20-inch wheels, dark exterior accents, and chrome exhaust outlets.

Cabin Details

The cabin of the new 2021 Chevy Blazer is housing plenty of upscale materials and techs. This five-seater SUV is also offering a very spacious interior that hosts five occupants. Moreover, seats provide maximum comfort on a long ride. Also, as we mentioned, techs are tremendous and Blazer comes with an infotainment system of 8-inch that underlines the new modernity. Interestingly, you’ll find plenty of Camaro cues inside like center vents allow temperature adjustment and sporty wheel.

Comfort is excellent and rear-seat passengers will enjoy ample space. Unlike the Ford Edge, which provides great cargo space, the new model behind rear seats offers 30.5 cubic feet, which is enough for most needs.

Three Engine Variants

The all-new 2021 Chevrolet Blazer is the SUV that will be offered with three engine options. The base one uses a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and is available on the trims L and LT trim levels. This engine is potent and it produces 193 horses and 188 lb-ft of torque. Besides, it comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission that comes as standard.

According to Chevy, the fuel economy is rated at 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. The next engine comes optionally and standard on the trims 2LT and 3LT. This powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine capable of making 230 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of twisting power. FWD is standard like on the first one, while fuel economy is measured 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Lastly, the most potent engine is a 3.6-liter V6. With such a powerful engine, this model generates 308 horses and 270 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy is the same as with the previous powertrain.

Price and Release Date

The entry-level 2021 Chevy Blazer that comes with front-drive L trim starts at $28,800, plus a destination charge of $1,195. Next is the 1LT model, that provides extra equipment for $33,495.

The most expensive trim is an all-wheel-drive Premier model that includes driver aids and plus a few other goodies. This model reaches $53,445. Chevy will launch its new Blazer in the last quarter of this year.
