2021 Cadillac Escalade Design

The upcoming 2021 Cadillac Escalade features a complete overhaul. This model looks more significant and more aggressive than its predecessor. As you probably know, Escalade has always been one of the bolder models in the Chevrolet lineup of SUVs. The full-size five-door SUV is also available as an extended-length variant Escalade ESV. This model is bigger by few inches and it provides almost identical design.

The standard 2021 Escalade measures 211 inches, which is about 7 inches longer than the current model. However, the long-wheelbase ESV spans 226.9 inches, which is an about 2.5-inch increase over the current one mode. Moreover, 2021 Cadillac Escalade design is an overhaul and Escalade is a rugged body-on-frame SUV that comes with a new shaped LED headlights, revised grille, and fog lights. Also, it features a new suspension that should provide a more comfortable ride.

Industry-First Oled Display

Inside, the new 2021 Cadillac Escalade has been inspired by Cadillac’s Escala concept. The cabin is spacious and Escalade offers more soft touches than before. Also, tech is completely fresh and the centerpiece this time is a new OLED display never seen on any Cadillacs models. Generally, the whole interior looks integrated and it blends the latest technology with handcrafted details.

The new OLED screen can navigate with touch-screen control for the center display or with a full-feature rotary dial controller. Three screens make the whole system. The first is a 7.2-inch-diagonal touch control panel placed on the left, a 14.2-inch-diagonal cluster display behind the steering wheel and the last one is 16.9-inch-diagonal Infotainment screen to the driver’s right. Thanks to this technology, the new model grants twice the pixel density of a 4K television.

New V8 Engine and First-Ever Diesel Option

Two engine variants will power Cadillac’s biggest SUV. Generally, buyers can go for either a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that produces 420 horses 313 kilowatts @ 5600 RPM with 460 pound-feet / 623-newton meters of torque @ 4100 RPM. This model features variable valve timing and direct injection. Thanks to that, it can deactivate half of its cylinders when cruising to save fuel. The next choice is a new turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six. Unlike the first one, this one sports dual-overhead cams and direct injection. This unit makes 277 horsepower / 207 kilowatts @ 3750 RPM with 460 pound-feet / 623 newton meters of torque @ 1500 RPM.

Moreover, both engines will use the same 10-speed automatic transmission as the only choice. Besides, buyers can get rear- or all-wheel-drive setups based on their individual needs. The EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2021 Escalade are lower than many models in the same class. A model that uses a 6.2-liter V-8 and with rear-wheel drive provides 15 mpg city, 20 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined.
