One of the BMWs biggest SUV X7 is getting a new Dark Shadow variant. Since it is more significant than X5, the new 2021 BMW X7 offers three rows of seats and enough room inside for seven occupants. Generally, X7 is a class up from the midsize X5. So, if you need a big SUV that provides luxury appointments, excellent powertrains, and overall quality, look no further than the BMW X7.

The new SUV maintains the same list of standard features, along with plenty of options. Like the current model, the new one uses the same 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine. However, if you want to up the performance, you can go with the xDrive50i or M50i models.

Design-wise, 2021 BMW X7 looks more aggressive than the current model. As we can see from the new photos, the manufacturer refreshed some of the body parts and makes this model looks sporty. The base model xDrive40i features new 21-inch wheels, adaptive LED headlights, and the same attractive grille. Also, it comes standard with automatic high beams, heated power-folding mirrors, automatic wipers, front and rear parking sensors, a power dual-section tailgate, and a self-leveling air-ride suspension.

New this year is the Dark Shadow variant. This limited-edition featuring a matte gray paint scheme, black wheels, grille, and windows. From the information that we get, there will be only 600 models limited. The M50i is the best option for the hardcore fans, and it comes with 22-inch wheels, dark exterior trim, a sport exhaust, an adaptive sport suspension, a sport differential, launch control, and sport brakes.

The new big SUV 2021 BMW X7 offers the same three engines as the current one. The base model xDrive40i is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine that delivers 335 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, if you’re looking for more performance, BMW also offers xDrive50i. This model uses a turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 that makes out 456 hp and 479 lb-ft. Lastly, the most potent model X7 M50i is powered by a 4.4-liter V8, pumping out 523 hp and 553 lb-ft.

Release Date and Price

The facelifted 2021 BMW X7 is arriving, and it hosts more aggressive styling. According to the manufacturer, the new model will be scheduled for the end of the year due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The starting price of the base model is $75,000, while the most powerful one reaches $120,000.
